Gardening isn’t easy :: A project with my Son {Penticton Photography}

Gardening isn’t easy….
Tyson and I never thought about how planting TOO MANY seeds would turn out…the poor garden was very crowded and also the radishes (and now the carrots) are not growing very big or to their best ability! Nevertheless, we are having an awesome time learning the responsibility of watering and caring for the garden.. some do more than others …lol
We decided that even though the radishes seemed to be growing huge tall leaves/stalks.. that they were not doing much under the soil, so we picked them all out (its the middle row you see in the photos!) I didn’t take an after photo but it looks so much better! There is now room for the cucumbers and carrots and dill to grow.. even our pumpkin has started to grow.. this is the one i am most fearful off! Its gonna take over the whole thing :S We cut a head of lettuce too so now daddy can have a yummy salad with his fav things!!
Next we have our Pea pant and our Basket of Strawberries!! They are coming along nicely.. though i have no idea how long it take to grow peas (or any of the veggies really!) It looks healthy.. i think!?!? haha. The Rhubarb is not doing so well :S Not that I think i planted it in a very ideal location… ah well!
If you want to check out the project from the beginning you can look  Here, Here & Here. As I mentioned in my first few posts, I really want to make this about Tyson, and his experience growing his own food, trying them and seeing what he thinks! we’ve already established he doesn’t like lettuce or radishes.. I think the carrots will be the biggest hit for him.

Enjoy!
